The question isn’t who wants to be millionaire, it’s who NEEDS to be a millionaire?

And it all comes down to simple numbers.

Numbers… most of us aren’t huge fans of numbers! But they tell a story. They’ll be a part of your story, and the question is whether the numbers will fall your way or not.

Here’s some food for thought… The ASFA/Westpac Retirement Standard has calculated that a couple retiring today needs $640,000 to be able to have a comfortable retirement income of $58,000 per year.

BUT…

That is for a couple of 65 year olds retiring TODAY. If we make the reasonable assumption that prices will rise 3% per year then:

• If you’re a 50 year old couple today, you’ll need $1 million to fund a comfortable retirement
• If you’re a 40 year old couple today, you’ll need $1.3 million to fund a comfortable retirement
• If you’re a 30 year old couple today, you’ll need $1.8 million to fund a comfortable retirement.

And if you wanted a better retirement income than $58,000 in today’s terms, or you want to retire before age 65, then you’ll need more.

Plan to make the numbers fall your way.
